2017 Beautification Award

Do you live near a property that makes you proud to live in Sycamore Township?  If so, you are fortunate to have neighbors who have made an investment in our community.  When people beautify their property, the whole neighborhood wins!  Property values are enhanced and the neighborhood becomes more attractive and desirable.  The Sycamore Township Beautification Award is designed to recognize exceptional properties whose owners help keep Sycamore Township beautiful.

CRITERIA
-exhibits pride in their home

-shows excellence in exterior home upkeep and maintenance

-shows creativeness in the exterior of the home in relation to the surrounding neighborhood

CATEGORIES
The Sycamore Township Beautification Awards will be given to 3 residential properties which beautify the Township. 

JUDGING
All properties will be reviewed and judged by Township Department head staff.

NOMINATIONS
Nominations to be judged may be submitted by property owners, friends, neighbors, etc.  Applications may be found by clicking here

RULES
Winners are not eligible to win more than once in a three year period.

DEADLINE
All nominations must be postmarked by June 30, 2017.  Judging will be held the first week in July.  Winners will be announced at the Festival in Sycamore on July 15th!

AWARD WINNERS
First, second and third place winners will be presented beautification award certificates by the Township Board of Trustees.  Special recognition on the Township website, Facebook page and newsletter and a gracious gift certificate to a local business will be given to the winners.

David and Pamela Sloan, David Clark and  Ewell and Laura Brock were presented the 2016 Beautification Awards by Sycamore Township Trustees Denny Connor and Cliff Bishop at the September 15, 2016 Trustees Meeting.  The winners also received gift certificates donated by Kenwood Towne Centre and Denny McKeown's Bloomin Garden Centre.
