BECHTOLD PARK
The Parks and Recreation facilities and programs are a strong focal point in our community. With area sports, special events, garden and civic clubs, community projects, and other activities, Sycamore Township now owns eight parks, offering residents a wide range of amenities. You can find facilities from shelters to baseball and soccer fields to meeting rooms to botanical gardens and more. Our parks are home to many growing sporting events throughout the year. They also host the annual Festival in Sycamore and Twilight Concert Series. The Sycamore Township Board of Trustees is dedicated to providing top notch facilities and equipment to our residents and neighbors. The park grounds and facilities are maintained by the Township maintenance department, which takes great pride in the appearance of our parks and the safety of the equipment. We hope that you'll check each park page to see the wonderful opportunities available to our residents and neighbors. If you have any questions or comments about any of our facilities, programs, or any matter concerning the Township's Parks and Recreation Department, please call Parks and Recreation Director - Mike McKeown at 792-7270. This 22 acre park located at 4312 Sycamore Road, Bechtold Park is Sycamore Township's oldest and most popular park. Named for former Township Trustee A. James Bechtold, who served Sycamore Township faithfully during the 1970s before his sudden death in 1980.
