The Fire Chief is a member of the Township Management Team with specific responsibilities for directing the activities and personnel of the EMS & Fire Department. He performs all administrative and operational work in the protection of life and property from fires, in the direction of fires and in the overall management of emergency medical services. Chief Jetter acts as the Chief Command Officer at major incidents in the Township and supervises the numerous personnel involved in the incident scene. The fire Chief investigates the source and circumstances of fire to detect their causes and directs the inspection of buildings and other properties for fire hazards. He ensures department compliance with all applicable laws and standards governing the EMS & Fire program and personnel of the Department. Deputy Clerk - Carol Walter

The Deputy Clerk provides total administrative assistance to the Fire Chief and the Assistant Chiefs such as answering the phone, scheduling appointments and handling correspondence.
She schedules CPR classes and handles all EMS billing procedures. She processes all requests for run reports. The Deputy Clerk is responsible for all aspects of the payroll for the Fire Department. She records and distributes information concerning businesses testing their fire systems, out of service fire hydrants, and water that has been turned off in the Township. The Deputy Clerk also maintains personnel records for fire department employees and schedules all testing procedures for prospective employees. Assistant Fire Chief - Doug Morath

The Administrative Assistant Fire Chief is a member of the Township Management Team with responsibilities for directing activities in the absence of the Fire Chief and the absence of the Operation Assistant Chief and/or assisting both as needed. Direct responsibilities are geared toward Loss Prevention, Plan Review, Code Enforcement, Fire Investigations and Fire Hydrant Maintenance for the township. Assistant Chief Morath is certified with the State of Ohio as a Fire Protection Inspector class 4 and Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) Doug Morath started in the fire service in 1976 and has been with the township since 1981 and has seen it grow to a booming community.

My goal has always been to make sure that all commercial & residential properties be as safe as possible by good plan review, good safety inspection, code enforcement and educating the public about fire safety.
