Lieutenant Dan Reid has recently been hired by the Sycamore Township Trustees as their liaison officer to the Sheriff's Department in June.  Lt. Reid has been with the department for over 24 years.  His assignments throughout his career have spanned from starting as a corrections officer to a patrol district commander.  He has been trained in many aspects of law enforcement to include graduating from the F.B.I. National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.

"I have many goals for Sycamore Township.  One of my main goals is to make the Sycamore Blockwatch Program the largest and most active in the county.  We hold our meetings on the third Tuesday of every month at 7 P.M in the Sycamore Township Fire House on Kenwood Rd.  We discuss crime trends in the township, how we can address these trends, and how to actively prevent these crimes in the future.  We will have guest speakers throughout the year to talk on their areas of expertise.  We will have everything from canine officers to federal agents to tell you their stories of law enforcement from their unique perspective. Please feel free to call me anytime at the Sycamore Township Administration Building.  I will do all I can to answer your questions and concerns as it relates to your police services.   Once again, I hope to see and meet all of you at our Blockwatch meetings."
