The Kenwood Road Improvement Project (Montgomery Road to Blue Ash Corp. Line) began the week of June 17, 2024. Estimated cost of this project is $4,256,485.59. The Township was awarded a SORTA Grant to fund 90% of the construction costs or 3,830,837.03. The Township will be responsible for the remaining $425,648.56.
This project includes:
- The replacement of deteriorated five feet concrete walk from Montgomery Road to E. Galbraith Road.
- The Installation of new sidewalk, curb ramps, ADA pads, and retaining wall repair at the NW and SW corners of Kenwood Road.
- Spot full depth repairs of pavement and installation of new pedestrian crosswalks.
- Removal of Bradford Pear Trees which have caused damage to utility assets and are at an increased risk of falling as they mature. These trees will be replaced by 50 new trees more appropriate for the space at the end of the project.
