Winter Storm Preparation Notice

The Sycamore Township Service Department is preparing for the winter storm forecasted for this weekend. Crews are pretreating roadways today with salt brine and beet juice to improve the effectiveness of deicing and cleanup efforts during and after the storm, especially with extremely cold temperatures expected.

Residents are asked to plan ahead and move vehicles off the roadway and park in driveways to assist plowing operations.

Once snow begins, Service Department crews will work 12-hour shifts around the clock until all roads are cleared.
