The Land Use Steering Committee Meetings scheduled for March 23, April 6 and April 20 have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 public health crisis.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the issuance of a Stay-at-Home order by Governor DeWine and the Director of the Ohio Department of Health, and due to enabling legislation (House Bill 197) which permits Ohio governments to meet remotely during this time, The Sycamore Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold their April 20, 2020, 5:00 p.m. public hearing via remote video with all participants joining in by videoconference. Members of the public who have interest in the cases to be heard are invited to submit comments or questions in writing prior to the meeting to Jessica Daves, Planning & Zoning Assistant, at [email protected] or by dropping off written comments in the bin at the Sycamore Township Fire Station 92 at 8540 Kenwood Road. Video of the meeting will be live streamed to the public on the internet. The live stream link is below.
In order to participate during the video conference, please register with Jessica Dave at [email protected] by 2:00 pm on April 20, 2020. Once registered you will be sent login instructions.

The May 2nd brush chipping event has been cancelled due to public health crisis.
Sycamore Township offers a scheduled monthly Brush Chipping Program for residents, providing residents the opportunity to drop off tree and brush trimmings behind the Township Administration Building free of charge for the recycling of wood chips and mulch. Residents are asked to bring their brush and limbs to the rear of the Township Administration building where maintenance personnel will assist in the unloading and chipping of the material. This program normally runs the first Saturday of each month from April through December.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 public health crisis, the Township has canceled the annual National Day of Prayer event this year.
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. Sycamore Township hosts a National Day of Prayer event annually, inviting clergy from local churches and synagogues to lead us in prayer for our nation, federal, state and local governments, the military and our community. Join us!
