NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

The Sycamore Township Board of Trustees will hold two public hearings on April 2, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. and April 16, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at the Sycamore Township Administration Building, 8540  Sycamore, Ohio 45236 for the purpose of hearing public comments on the community development needs of Sycamore Township, and to discuss the possible submission of one or more Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for the 2024, 2025, and 2026 program years. The CDBG program is administered by the Community Development Department of Hamilton County, Ohio, and will make funds available to eligible local governments for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income persons. The first hearing held on April 2, 2024 will provide further information about the CDBG program and will allow for citizen participation in the development of any proposed grant applications and/or to provide technical assistance to develop alternate proposals. Comments on the CDBG program or proposed project(s) will be received at this time. The second hearing will review the projects that Sycamore Township intends to submit to Hamilton County for funding. The hearings are being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Subpart I of the CFR and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.

 

If special accommodations are needed for persons with disabilities, those with hearing impairments, or those in need of translation from English, those individuals should contact Michael Gould, at [email protected] or at 513-792-7251, at least one week in advance of the hearing date to allow for necessary arrangements. National Day of Prayer @ Township Administration Building Parking Lot

The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. 

Sycamore Township hosts a National Day of Prayer event annually, inviting clergy from local churches and synagogues to lead us in prayer for our nation, federal, state and local governments, the military and our community. 

This year’s theme is “Lift up the word – Light up the World.” 

Join us for the National Day of Prayer at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2nd.
