The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
Sycamore Township hosts a National Day of Prayer event annually, inviting clergy from local churches and synagogues to lead us in prayer for our nation, federal, state and local governments, the military and our community.
This year’s theme is “Lift up the word – Light up the World.”

The 2024 V.F.W. Memorial Day Parade is a joint event with Deer Park, Silverton, and Sycamore Township. The parade route is north on Ohio Ave., East on Webster Ave., North on Blue Ash Rd., stopping at Chamberlin Park then onto Sycamore Rd. and Bechtold Park.
